Something a little vintage and shabby!

I have actually got round to making a card. I have been so busy, it's the first one I have made for ages but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I used the first edition spring feast papers, 6mm pearls (both available from Creative Card Crewe ) flowers and ribbon from my stash, a border punch, and stickles on the flowers. I gave the edges of the card and box a vintage feel using two different colour ink pads and the ranger blending tool.

Today I took delivery of some fantastic and cute little stamps. Can't wait to start using them. The trouble is, I just don't seem to be able to manage all on my "to do" list. Please can someone find me some more hours in the day. PLEASE? These stamps are available from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/creativecardcrewe

I'm so excited!!!! I have just taken delivery of some absolutely stunning backing papers by first edition. They are simply gorgeous!!! They are all 200gsm so they are really nice and thick and are an excellent quality. I have the 6X6 inch papers at the moment in loads of different finishes which are either glittered or double sided. Each sample pack has 16 sheets which is one of each design. My fiance simply can't understand what all the excitement is about!! Can't stop, got to get card making XX

Thursday 7 April 2011

I love butterflies at the moment and find any excuse to add them onto a project. So I had the perfect excuse when we were invited to an engagement party at the weekend. As usual I was in a rush to get ready and put this together really quick but I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The butterflies are made using the tonic punch, the card is from craft uk and the diamontes and peark hearts are from my shop.

Thursday 3 March 2011

Well it has been kinda hectic this last couple of weeks. My eBay shop is really starting to take off and I seem to have been spending every spare moment packing up sticky gems! I also visited the stitches trade show and picked up a few good leads for new suppliers so watch this space for some exciting new products.

Now for a card making update. I was asked to design some wedding invites in a lilac and ivory theme with butterflies. So here is a few that I came up with:

The butterflies are from the tonic studios range of craft punches which I hope to be stocking soon. I must say they are really quite impressive. I even managed to punch through card 240-250gsm thick fairy easily. The card is 5X5" from craft UK which I am also in the process of stocking. The diamontes are 4mm which I also stock.
